Pole Dance Cup – is an International Pole Dance Competition, which is organized by Pole Dance Project and this time co-organized by Men's Day. First in history of Poland Pole Dance Competition was also organized during Men's Day in 2010. It met with huge interest and warm greeting among viewers and all press and other media. From May 2010 a lot has changed - Poland became more open regarding new form of dance/fitness – Pole Dance, media more often mention Pole Dance and in April 2011 Polish pole Dance Association organized its first National Pole Dance Tournament under patronage of PFA (Pole Fitness Association). The originators of competition take one step further – they decided to create first in history of Poland – International Pole Dance Competition – Pole Dance Cup. The contacted many international pole Dance organizations, magazines, etc to achieve best possible effect, to act in accordance to international standards and let know to all world tha „Poland starts Pole Dancing". The idea of Pole Dance Cup, apart from confronting Polish contestants with contestants from all around the world and honoring best contestants,is to promote Pole Dance as sport/fitness/dance discipline, which has nothing to do with erotic dance known from night clubs. It becomes more common that people see the difference between erotic pole dance and Pole Dance, which can be viewed during International and National Competitions, Championships, Tournaments, etc. Unfortunately for some people Pole Dance still remains inappropriate. Pole Dance Cup's organizers want to prove that Pole Dance is noble discipline worth to be acknowledged and respected.
This year – 2011 – Pole Dance Cup – takes place on 4th of June 2011 on ground floor of Horse Races Lane Służewiec – Warsaw/Poland, Puławska 266 street. During famous event – Men's Day 2011.
Pole Dance Cup is a competition that in agreement with PFA was approved and listed at PFA competitions list. Other Sponsors and Patrons are: New Orleans Club, which actively supports promoting Pole Dance as sport/fitness/dance discipline, Pole2polemagazine – international magazine about Pole Dance, Russian Pole Dance federation – organizer of European Pole Dance Championships, Trendy Magazine – polish magazine about dance, music and fashion.
